Thomas Moore's career began with his bestselling book Care of the Soul. Since then he has written about deepening everyday life, tending both soul and spirit, and living in an engaged, thoughtful style. This talk is based on his most recent book, Soul Therapy, and a new book, The Eloquence of Silence, soon to be released, on the spiritual idea of emptiness, a positive way of not striving or being too attached to anything. Living soulfully, you read the signs about your destiny. You see how your life and the lives of others are connected. You let go of your need to control (an "empty" self) and with an open heart truly love the people in your life. Thomas has been a psychotherapist for forty years. He has Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Syracuse University.
