Atma Buti® Courses - Himalayan Chakra Singing Bowl Therapy Techniques

In the Level 2 Sound Healing Course we will explore traditional Chakra Bowl Healing techniques using 4, 7, 8 and tranquility bowls in a therapeutic setting. In this course, we will expand upon the skills you have begun to acquire from Level 1.
We will explore the Chakra system in greater detail and music theory will be discussed as we explore the concept of the Cycle of Fifths in relationship to the use of the 7 singing bowls. We will practice the series of 7 bowls and lay them out according to the Chakra system of the body. Bowls will be placed around and on the body. Mantras and chants will be practiced to correspond to the sound vibrational frequencies associated with each Chakra. With our intention and reverence for the life of all sentient beings, we will discuss and practice creating a sacred space for those receiving this vibrational therapy.
We will explore the topic of puja and how offerings and space clearing can be performed with the singing bowl or bell. We will also discuss techniques and methods regarding how to conduct a sound healing meditation concert.

About the Instructor:
Suren Shrestha was born in Nepal, about forty-five minutes southeast of Mt. Everest. He grew up in a village from Nepal called Khandbari. In this village people were healed by herbalists, monks, and medicine men using shaman’s drums, gongs and mantras.
He came to the United States as a teenager, attended college and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He married his beautiful wife Ruby Shrestha, who worked in the healthcare field. They both began to notice the growing interest in alternative medicine in the U.S.
Suren returned to Nepal to learn how to practice ancient healing techniques that use sound and vibration. He studied and completed apprenticeship about singing bowls under several different teachers in Asia and Nepal. After learning about the singing bowls, then he wished to share this knowledge with others. He began teaching and wrote the book, How to Heal with Singing Bowls.
